I/ITSEC 2015: Esterline Simulation Visual Systems Wins Contract To Provide New Flight Training Visual Systems To Lockheed Martin Mission Systems And Training

(I/ITSEC – Orlando, Florida, November 30, 2015) Esterline Simulation Visual Systems, a new business of Esterline Corporation, has been awarded a contract to provide seven new full-flight visual display systems to Lockheed Martin Mission Systems and Training (LM MST) of Orlando, Florida.

Each of the seven TREALITY® Small Environment Enhanced Reality (SEER®) domes consist of a thirteen-channel, wide field-of-view sphere, with an additional head up display (HUD) channel. Additional support and maintenance tools include a fully automated automatic alignment system providing nearly 100% uptime performance capability. Esterline Simulation Visual Systems is responsible for the design, installation, alignment, acceptance testing and maintenance training of the visual display system.

Brent Frisky, Lockheed Martin program manager for this international project said: “We are excited to be working with the Esterline team, and highly confident of the success we will achieve in this challenging project. Esterline was down-selected following an extensive competitive investigation.”

Mark Saturno, vice-president of worldwide sales, Esterline Simulation Visual Systems, said: “Our TREALITY SEER full-flight visual display system has been deployed around the world to support many flight training applications. This proven product is part of an expansive simulation systems portfolio that we are proud to offer for air, ground and maritime training. We are pleased to be supporting Lockheed Martin with this new program.”

Esterline Simulation Visual Systems announced the launch of its new TREALITY brand of products at ITEC 2015. Formerly the Training & Simulation products business of Belgium-based Barco N.V., which Esterline acquired earlier this year, the new TREALITY product brand is synonymous with the design, development, manufacture and world-wide support of market leading, high-performance visual systems for military and commercial flight simulation and training.

TREALITY products include the world’s highest contrast and resolution, 360-degree rear projection display, a variety of large field of view collimated displays, and the first deployable display with a roll-up, seamless spherical screen. TREALITY Simulation Visual Systems are used in flight, maritime, air traffic control, driving, ground warfare and firearms simulators as well as a variety of simulation visualization applications. TREALITY displays are renowned for their image clarity of daytime scenes and high-quality, night-time and stimulated NVG scenes. User-friendly projector control and alignment systems make the display operation simple and easy. TREALITY Simulation Visual Systems are supported by a full complement of services, including: design project management, installation, integration and maintenance on a world-wide basis.
