Farnborough 2014: Esterline CMC Electronics PilotView Electronic Flight Bags Receive Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) Approval on Air Astanas B757 and B767 Aircraft
Farnborough 2014…Esterline CMC Electronics‘s (CMC) CMA-1410 10. PilotView Electronic Flight Bags (EFBs) have received EASA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) approval for installation on the Boeing B757 and B767 aircraft. The installation was completed in partnership with Air Astana and PMV Engineering. Air Astana has selected and installed the CMC PilotView CMA-1410 10″ Electronic Display Unit as well as CMC’s PilotView Enhanced Switching Module Unit on its fleet of B757 and B767 aircraft.
CMC’s PilotView EFB systems continue to evolve, with product configurations ranging from 8.4″ to 12″ displays. The 8.4″ CMA-1100, 10.4â€ CMA-1410 and new 12.1″ CMA-1612 EFB feature the company’s latest display enhancements, including multi-touch capability and a powerful Intel Core i7 processor that seamlessly enables a wide range of advanced software applications. These include charting, electronic documentation, en-route real-time weather moving maps, terrain awareness, camera surveillance, and aircraft data monitoring and reporting.
The PilotView EFB is offered as a standard option by ATR, by Dassault on the Falcon 900, 2000 and 7X, by Embraer for the Legacy 600/650 and E-170/190 programs, by Bombardier for the CRJ700*, CRJ900* and CRJ1000* regional jets, and by Boeing for the Next-Generation B-737s and BBJs. In addition, over 30 STCs are available for the PilotView EFB on aircraft ranging from the Gulfstream GlV/GV, Bombardier Aerospace’s Challenger* 600* series* aircraft program, the Global* Express* and the Global Express XRS*, to the Airbus A320 and A330, Boeing B737 and B747-400.
