Esterline CMC Electronics to Supply High-Performance Avionics for New Pilatus PC-21 Programs
(Aero-India 2013 Ã¢â‚¬â€œ Feb. 6, 2013) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) has been awarded contracts by Pilatus Aircraft Ltd. to supply its latest generation avionics, including the CMA-9000 Flight Management System (FMS), SparrowHawkÃ¢â€žÂ¢ Head-Up Display (HUD) sub-system as well as up front control panel for the fleets of PC-21 turboprop training aircraft selected by two international customers.

The CMA-9000 is a family of compact FMS variants that is well suited for modern digital cockpits in fixed and rotary wing aircraft for both civil and military applications. The companyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s FMS systems are in service with over 60 airlines and military operators. The HUD sub-system includes Esterline CMCÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s SparrowHawkÃ¢â€žÂ¢ HUD integrated with a HUD symbol generator and a video display unit.
Esterline CMC Electronics has previously supplied its CMA-9000 Flight Management System and SparrowHawkÃ¢â€žÂ¢ HUD to Pilatus as a standard fit on the fleet of PC-21s for all current PC-21 fleet operators.
