Esterline CMC Electronics Offers Certified, Easy to Integrate ADS-B Solution for Helicopters, Transport, Trainer and Fighter Aircraft

(Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition… September 15, 2014) Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) is promoting its certified and easy to integrate ADS-B Out/RNP/LPV (Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast/Required Navigation Performance/Localizer Performance with Vertical Guidance) solution at this year’s Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition. CMC’s affordable solution meets current operational requirements and is fully compliant with the 2020 ADS-B mandate. At the heart of CMC’s ADS-B Out/RNP/LPV solution is the IntegriFlight CMA-5024 GPS Landing System Sensor.  The CMA-5024 is fully compliant with the 2020 ADS-B mandate. It delivers RNP 0.1 navigation performance and has complete, built-in LPV capability that is certified to CAT-I with growth to GBAS CAT-I/II/III.  Complementing the CMA-5024 SBAS receiver is the CMA-5025, an optional control panel that allows the CMA-5024 to be installed as a stand-alone Precision Approach system, fully independent of all avionics systems. When the CMA-5024 is installed as a stand-alone system, the CMA-5025 is required to enable the SBAS LPV or GBAS SLS approach function. “Having LPV capability and meeting the 2020 Mandate are a must, said Sean Carty, CMC Regional Business Development Director, Military Aviation. CMC’s Family of GPS Products

IntegriFlight CMA-5024 GPS Landing System Sensor CMC’s IntegriFlight CMA-5024 GPS Landing System Sensor meets the requirements for an Instrument Flight Rules, civil certified Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS). The CMA-5024 provides Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) GPS capability from departure to approach that complies with published Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) navigational mandates. WAAS/SBAS augments GPS to provide an extremely accurate navigation solution that will support all flight operations from en route to GNSS and WAAS/SBAS Localizer Performance with a Vertical Guidance (LPV) CAT-1 equivalent approach. The CMA-5024 is provisioned for growth to GBAS with a built-in VHF Data Broadcast (VDB) receiver. IntegriFlight CMA-5025 Satellite Landing System Control Panel The CMA-5025 is an optional Control Panel designed to complement the CMA-5024 SBAS receiver. It allows the CMA-5024 to be installed as a stand-alone system, fully independent of all avionics systems. Alternately, the CMA-5024 can be fully integrated with a FMS such as CMC Electronics’ CMA-9000 FMS. When the CMA-5024 is installed as a stand-alone system, the CMA-5025 is required to enable the SBAS LPV or GBAS precision approach function. In certain applications, the CMA-5025 can be installed as a fully independent back-up control panel to an integrated FMS solution. In a manner similar to a navigation radio control panel, the CMA-5025 Control Panel allows the flight crew to select a SBAS or GBAS final approach. The CMA-5025 provides the flight crew with all necessary data to set up any GPS approach as either a SBAS LPV or a GBAS SLS approach.
